Bostik A585 Painter's Acrylic is a one-component acrylic sealant for joints and connections subject to low expansion stress. After drying, it forms an elastoplastic sealant that is particularly suitable for painting, renovation, and interior finishing work.

Thanks to its good adhesion to typical building materials such as concrete, aerated concrete, plaster, masonry, and wood, A585 is highly versatile. The white sealant is paintable and suitable for numerous interior and exterior connection joints.

Suitable substrates

Bostik A585 is suitable for concrete, aerated concrete, plaster, masonry, and wood, among others. The bonding surfaces must be load-bearing, clean, and free from dust, grease, and other contaminants that may reduce adhesion.

Coverage

For a joint cross-section of 10 × 10 mm, a 300 ml cartridge covers approx. 3 linear meters. Actual coverage depends on the width and depth of the joint.

Application

The bonding surfaces must be clean, dry, and load-bearing. Apply Bostik A585 evenly and without bubbles into the prepared joint and smooth it within the skin formation time. After sufficient drying, the sealant can be painted over with suitable coating systems.

For exterior applications, the fresh sealant must be protected from heavy moisture and water exposure during drying. A585 is not intended for joints permanently exposed to water.
