Application & Substrate

• The substrate and joint edges must be load-bearing, clean, and dry.
• For highly stressed joints or extreme weather conditions, the pretreatment recommended by SIKA is particularly important.
• Joint geometry and backfill material are part of the functioning overall system.

Notes / possible disadvantages

• The product is designed for elastic joints and does not replace structural joint planning.
• The very good adhesion requires suitable cleaning and pretreatment for demanding substrates.

FAQ

Which variant is suitable?
Color and packaging are selected separately. For boxed goods, individual units, half PU, and full PU are available as options, where provided.

Does it need to be primed?
This depends on Sikaflex PRO-1, the substrate, and the stress. The above notes and the current SIKA product data sheet are decisive.

Can I use the product outdoors?
Only to the extent that the respective application is approved by SIKA for outdoor use. The substrate, moisture, temperature, and load are decisive.

What is important for storage and application?
Store the packaging closed, dry, and within the temperature limits specified by the manufacturer. Observe the product and safety data sheet before application.
