The five-piece Nozar Taifun/Viper set combines tools for cutting and subsequent edge processing. Three Taifun diamond fan discs cover successive grinding steps. Two Fliese-Viper diamond cutting discs complete the set for cutting suitable ceramic tiles. This provides a clearly defined combination of different working tools.

Application

The Viper discs are designed for cutting hard ceramic tiles and suitable natural stone tiles. The Taifun fan discs are used for dry grinding granite, marble, artificial stone and ceramic. When processing edges, the level of finish can be graded using the different grits: grit 60 for coarse grinding, grit 120 for medium grinding and grit 200 for smooth grinding. The sequence is selected based on the initial condition and desired surface of the workpiece.

Selection and Processing

The mounts of the set components differ: Taifun uses M14, Viper uses a 22.23 mm bore. Therefore, every tool change must be carried out according to the machine instructions. For Taifun, the manufacturer specifies 6,000–8,000 rpm as the recommended operating range; this recommendation cannot be applied generally to the Viper. The marking on each tool remains decisive. Machines are not part of the described set.
