Application & Substrate

• The substrate must be clean, load-bearing and free from substances that reduce adhesion.
• Despite the wide range of adhesion, adhesion and compatibility tests are recommended for critical plastics, coatings or bituminous surfaces.
• Remove excess material within the working time for clean joints and bonds.

To be noted / possible disadvantages

• Not every plastic or bituminous substrate behaves the same; preliminary tests reduce the risk of adhesion or compatibility problems.
• For bonds under high static loads, it must be checked whether an elastic assembly adhesive is structurally suitable.

FAQ

Which variant is suitable?
Color and packaging are selected separately. For boxed goods, – as far as provided – individual packages, half PU and full PU are available for selection.

Does it need to be primed?
This depends on Sikaflex-111 Stick & Seal, the substrate and the stress. The above-mentioned notes and the current SIKA product data sheet are decisive.

Can I use the product outdoors?
Only to the extent that the respective application is approved by SIKA for outdoor use. The substrate, moisture, temperature and load are decisive.

What is important for storage and application?
Store the packaging closed, dry and within the temperature limits specified by the manufacturer. Observe the product and safety data sheet before application.
