Sikaflex PRO-3 Purform
One-component, moisture-curing, high-performance PU sealant for loaded floor, construction and movement joints in civil engineering, road construction and structural engineering. The following description summarizes the most important manufacturer information from SIKA for selection and application in a practical manner.
Advantages
- Permissible total deformation: 25%
- High mechanical and chemical resistance
- Elastic over a wide temperature range
- Rapid development of mechanical properties
- Very good aging and weather resistance
- Excellent adhesion to many common building materials
- Purform® technology with very low monomer content and no REACH training requirement for diisocyanate products
Applications
- Floor joints in warehouses, production and processing areas
- Parking decks and heavily used traffic surfaces
- Road construction and structural engineering constructions
- Sewage and wastewater treatment plants within the scope of the manufacturer approvals
- Applications with increased mechanical, weather and chemical exposure
Technical Data
- Chemical basis: Sika® Purform® polyurethane, moisture-curing
- Permissible total deformation: 25%
- Classification, among others: EN 15651-1 F 25 HM and EN 15651-4 PW 25 HM
- Packaging options in the range: 300 ml cartridge / 600 ml sausage
- PU: 12 cartridges or 20 sausages
Certifications & Tests
- EMICODE EC1PLUS / low emissions
- ISO 11600 – Class 25 HM
- EN 15651-1 and EN 15651-4
- Further tests for road construction, floor joints and chemical resistance according to SIKA
Application & Substrate
- The substrate must be load-bearing, clean, dry and free from substances that reduce adhesion.
- For permanently load-bearing joints, the geometry, backfilling and pretreatment must be suitable for the intended use.
- In the event of chemical exposure, the specific media resistance must be checked using the current SIKA data sheet.
Notes / possible disadvantages
- High resistance does not replace a project-specific test for special chemicals or permanent media contact.
- Incorrect joint geometry or insufficient substrate preparation can significantly limit performance.
FAQ
Which variant is suitable?
Color and packaging are selected separately. For boxed goods, individual units, half PU and full PU are available, as applicable.
Is priming required?
This depends on Sikaflex PRO-3 Purform, the substrate and the exposure. The above notes and the current SIKA product data sheet are decisive.
Can I use the product outdoors?
Only to the extent that the respective application is approved by SIKA for outdoor use. The substrate, moisture, temperature and exposure are decisive.
What is important for storage and application?
Store containers closed, dry and within the temperature limits specified by the manufacturer. Observe the product and safety data sheet before application.
