The TAJIMA ALOR210 is the more compact version of the Aluminist Power-Glide folding saw. The 210 mm long saw blade with 9 TPI is particularly suitable for smaller branches, wooden slats, construction timber, trimming work, and mobile applications.

Supplied as a complete folding saw with a handle and mounted Fluorine Black saw blade.

ALOR240 – complete Aluminist Power-Glide folding saw with 240 mm

The TAJIMA ALOR240 offers a greater cutting range with its 240 mm long saw blade. It is suitable for larger branches, boards, timber, as well as versatile work in timber construction, interior finishing, and gardening.

ALB210 – replacement saw blade with 210 mm

Fluorine Black Power-Glide saw blade

The Aluminist Power-Glide series uses Fluorine Black saw blades. The special design supports a smooth and controlled cutting motion and is designed for fast cutting in wood and timber.

The 9 TPI teeth offer a good compromise between cutting speed, control, and material removal, and are particularly suitable for typical construction, assembly, and gardening work.

Fast-cut teeth with 9 TPI

All offered ALOR and ALB models feature a tooth count of 9 TPI. TPI stands for "Teeth per Inch" and describes the number of saw teeth per inch.

The coarse teeth are designed for fast work progress. For particularly fine cross-cut or furniture cuts, a finer-toothed Japanese saw may be better suited.

Japanese saw principle – pull cutting

The TAJIMA Aluminist Power-Glide operates primarily by pulling the saw blade back. During the pull stroke, the blade is tensioned and guided through the material in a controlled manner.

When pushing forward, only slight pressure should be applied. For a clean cut, steady tool guidance with even pull strokes is recommended. The saw blade should not be twisted sideways or allowed to bind.

Folding design

With the complete ALOR folding saws, the saw blade can be folded into the handle after use. This protects the sharp teeth during transport and storage.

Before starting work, check that the saw blade is fully unfolded and securely locked.
