Automatic Blade Retraction with Quick-Back System
When cutting, the slider is pushed forward with the thumb and held. As soon as the slider is released, the Quick-Back System automatically retracts the blade into the housing.
The automatic retraction supports safe handling and prevents the blade from accidentally remaining extended after the cutting process. The prerequisite is that the slider is not permanently locked or held during cutting.
RAZAR BLACK Blade for Precise Cuts
The TAJIMA DFC569B comes with an 18mm wide RAZAR BLACK snap-off blade. The particularly sharp blade is especially suitable for precise cuts in thin and flexible materials.
Typical materials include paper, foils, packaging, cardboard, adhesive tapes, and similar materials. Depending on the application, other suitable TAJIMA 18mm snap-off blades can also be used.
Driver Tip and Multifunctional Fin
The reinforced blade guide has a robust driver tip. It can be used for simple additional tasks, such as lifting lids or operating suitable slotted screws.
At the rear end of the handle, there is also a multifunctional fin. This can be used to open cardboard boxes, adhesive tapes, and packaging without extending the sharp cutter blade.
Typical Areas of Application
- Opening cardboard boxes and shipping packaging
- Cutting films and packaging materials
- Cutting adhesive tapes
- Trimming paper and thin cardboard
- Work in warehouses and goods reception
- Shipping and order picking
- Assembly and dismantling work
- General cutting tasks in workshops and trades
Note: The suitability of the cutter depends on the material, its thickness, and the blade used. For delicate surfaces, a test cut should first be performed in an inconspicuous area.

Does the slider need to be held during cutting?
Yes. For proper automatic blade retraction, the slider must be pushed forward and held during the cutting process. When released, the blade retracts.
Is the blade lockable?
No. The DFC569B is designed as a safety cutter with automatic blade retraction and does not have a permanent blade lock for the extended position.
What blade width does the DFC569B use?
The cutter uses commercially available or suitable TAJIMA snap-off blades with a width of 18mm.
How many blades are included?

What is the RAZAR BLACK blade suitable for?
The extra sharp RAZAR BLACK blade is particularly suitable for precise cuts in paper, foil, thin packaging materials, and similar materials.
What is the Driver Tip?
The driver tip is the reinforced tip of the metal blade guide. It can be used for simple additional tasks without using the delicate cutting edge of the cutter blade.
What is the fin at the end of the handle for?
The fin can be used, for example, to open cardboard boxes, adhesive tapes, or packaging without extending the blade from the cutter.
What does "10 pieces = 1 PU" mean?
